Thank you for considering Conestogo River Horseback Adventures as an outdoor education option to supplement your school or group! We strive to provide high quality outdoor experiences that allow participants to learn in a safe, encouraging, and hands-on environment. We look forward to discussing the needs of your specific program, and can tailor your visit to the farm to suit many educational objectives. Enclosed is a rough overview of our program, which we have based on the goals of the most recent Ontario Elementary Curriculum (Science and Technology).

Our experiential learning program can offer you:

  • Your own qualified instructor/guide
  • Animal interaction throughout the day
  • Inclusion options
  • Appropriate take-home handouts on material covered (great for bringing back to the classroom after the trip!)
  • Interactive learning opportunities such as riding demonstrations, practical skills instruction, and tours of the facility

OUR OPTIONS

  • We offer the option to ride in the safety of our arena or to have a more challenging experience on the trails, or wagon rides.
  • Mantracker (starting location is in St.Jacobs and will finish on the farm) *May need to discuss logistics with the bus*
  • Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and equine assisted personal development sessions to work on team building and life skills.
  • A memorable day with our wonderful animals!

We can base the day on your needs and rotate groups through different activities.

Prices for our programs are available by contacting the farm. We need more information about your group to create a customized package. The main information we need is size of group, age, and budget.  We are conveniently located on the edge of the City of Waterloo near Conestoga Mall at 535 Northfield Dr E.
