PONY RIDES:

Introduce your little ones to the joy of horseback riding with our delightful pony rides, perfect for children ages 4 and up. In a safe and relaxed outdoor environment, kids can experience the excitement of riding while under the watchful guidance of our experienced staff. You may bring your own helmet if you wish, however they must be ATSM certified . But don’t worry, because proper equestrian helmets are included in the initial fee!

Parents and guardians are encouraged to lead the pony for a walk. Please note that if the child can’t remain upright, another guardian is required. Finally, Closed-toed shoes and long pants are a must for both the safety and comfort of our riders and walkers. Please wear Closed-toed shoes with small heel of 0.5″-1″ to prevent slipping (ex. Blundstones, Doc Martens, hiking boots, rubber boots, etc) and long pants only, to avoid pinching and chafing from the saddle.

HORSE RIDES:

For adults and older youth seeking a gentle introduction to horseback riding, this experience will not disappoint! Experience the thrill of riding a horse in a controlled setting. Perfect for those who may be new to horseback adventures or prefer a more relaxed pace.

The maximum weight of 245lbs ensures safety and comfort for all riders. For those craving a bit more excitement, our trail rides are designed for adults and mature youth aged 11 and up. Closed toed shoes and long pants are required for a secure and enjoyable ride. Please wear Closed-toed shoes with small heel of 0.5″-1″ to prevent slipping (ex. Available Saturday and Sunday 10:00AM – 1:00PM with a reservation

15 minute pony ride:  $25.00 HST included
30 minute pony ride: $45.00 HST included

OTHER DETAILS & INFORMATION:

Arrival Timing: We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your departure time to complete the sign in process including helmet fitting, waiver and payment.

Cancellation Policy: In the event that you need to cancel, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice. This policy remains in effect unless in the case of extreme weather, please give the office a call. We go rain or shine but not thunder and lightning. Voicemail is required if you can’t reach us, otherwise a $25/person no go fee is applied to the card on file. Please do not cancel via email; phone or voicemail only.

No-Go Policy: Activities are non-refundable, even if your child is too tender-hearted to follow through with the planned adventure. Unfortunately, the ponies still have an overhead cost when they are not working. Therefore, even if your child decides not to ride on the day, the full fees still apply.

Activity layout: As a group, the pony guide will be given instruction to parents/guardians on how to lead the pony so that you can participate in leading the horse with the group. This is a great opportunity for you to be involved in the experience. Closed-toed shoes must also be worn on the ground around the ponies by all guardians and spectators. All guests under the age of 18 require written permission from a guardian to partake in any activity and are required to wear an approved safety riding helmet, which are provided by Conestogo River Horseback Adventures. This written permission can be acceptable on the waiver.
