Summer Camp FAQs

  • When do camps open for registration?
    • Our summer camps typically open for registration around the first week of January. Please note that Horse Camp fills up completely in the first 4-8 weeks after registration opens.
  • The camp week I wanted to register for is full, is there a waiting list?
    • We do keep a waiting list for summer camps, however cancellations are few and far between. To inquire about the camp waiting list, please send us an email.
  • My child wants to attend with their friend, how do I ensure they are in the same group?
    • If you are coordinating with another family, please contact the office to make arrangements. If there is still space in your selected week, there shouldn’t be an issue. If the website says a week of camp is full, we are at capacity for the week, and there is no guarantee that we can accommodate an additional child.
  • I sent in my registration form, what is the next step?
    • To complete the registration process and confirm your child’s spot in camp we require a deposit of $125. Registrations will not be processed without the deposit. Invoices will be sent after the deposit is received.
  • Do you provide food for camp?
    • While most years we have a tuck shop with water & treats, we do not provide lunch for campers. Please pack a lunch and two snacks.
  • What should my child bring to camp?
    • Lunch & snacks
    • Water – our water has a high iron content which affects the flavour, so please send them with 2-3 water bottles
    • Long pants are recommended for all camps
    • If your child is riding, shoes that have closed toes and a slight heel (rubber boots/hiking boots) and a pair of sneakers to change into
    • Sneakers or hiking boots are required for all kids in Survival Camp
    • Bathing suit & towel for water activities
    • Spare change of clothes
    • Sunscreen
    • Hat
    • For more detailed information, please check specific camp pages or email the office
  • Are your counselors trained in first aid?
    • We always have multiple staff members on site trained in first aid and first responding
  • What is the counselor to camper ratio?
    • Our counselor to camper ratio is a minimum of 1:7, however we always have lots of fantastic, well trained volunteers aiding our staff members.
  • When do I need to pay my final balance?
    • Final balance for camp is due 14 days before your selected week of camp. If you have registered for multiple weeks, the final balance is due 14 days before the first week you’ve registered for.
  • What happens on rainy days?
    • All our activities are based around the outdoors, so we have camp days as usual if it’s raining. In the event of a thunderstorm we do have an indoor arena and lounge, and the counselors are great at adapting to all weather situations.
  • Can I watch my kids’ activities at camp?
    • To avoid distraction of other campers, we ask that parents not stick around after dropping their child off. If there is a special activity for parents to watch, we will give advance notice.
  • Do you require campers to wear masks?
    • During times of mandates local guidelines have allowed day camps to remain exempt from mandatory masking. We will not be requiring campers to wear masks for any of our camps.
  • What happens if I need to cancel?
    • Deposits are non-refundable, however in the event that you need to cancel, any amount you have paid can be changed to credit on your account and can be used for any future activities with us.
